Who makes NotchBuddy

NotchBuddy is made by Abhinay Gajji, founder of Approtic Solution Private Limited, a small software company in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The same team builds and publishes apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

What NotchBuddy is

NotchBuddy turns the notch on a MacBook into a small workspace: 19 tools (focus timer, clipboard history, a file shelf with AirDrop, music controls, notes, reminders, live sales from eight payment platforms and more) plus an animated desk pet. How it's built and sold

• Pay once. NotchBuddy costs $20 (₹1,299 in India), with every 1.x update included and a 14-day refund. There is no subscription.
• Your data stays on your Mac. Notes, reminders, clipboard history and your shelf are stored only on your Mac. The app has no account, no ads and no analytics. The privacy policy has the details.
• Direct from us. The download is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple. Payments go through Polar, which acts as the merchant of record, so your receipt shows Nhancio Technologies Private Limited.
• Updated in the open. Every release is listed in the changelog, and the app updates itself.

The name

This NotchBuddy (notchbuddy.app) is a separate app from the free Mac App Store app called “NotchBuddy — Notch Tool-belt for Developers”, which is made by another developer.
