RevenueCat revenue and subscribers in your MacBook notch

If your app's subscriptions run through RevenueCat, NotchBuddy puts the numbers you check most (revenue, MRR, subscribers and trials) at the top of your screen, and tells you when they move.

What it shows: Revenue and subscription totals. Alerts reflect what changed between syncs.
How often: Every 5 minutes. RevenueCat's metrics API allows a limited number of calls a minute, so NotchBuddy keeps a steady pace.

Connect RevenueCat.

Secret API key (v2)sk_…Enter this in NotchBuddy on your Mac.

In RevenueCat, open Project settings → API keys → New secret API key, version 2.
Set Charts metrics to Read only and Project configuration to Read only.
Set everything else to No access, then paste the sk_… key into NotchBuddy → Revenue → RevenueCat.

What a RevenueCat update looks like

RevenueCat reports totals rather than individual payments, so NotchBuddy compares each sync with the last one and tells you what changed. The notch shows the change as a small pill, and the Revenue panel keeps the totals one hover away.

You choose the sound: a classic cha-ching, falling coins, a soft chime, or your own file. If you work in public, turn on Hide amounts in Glance and the pill shows the alert without the number; the amount stays in the Peek and the Revenue panel.

Open Revenue from Home and you get today's total with a seven-day line, MRR, active subscribers and trials where the platform provides them, and the latest payments. Connect more than one platform and they sit side by side.

Your key stays on your Mac

The key is stored in your Mac's Keychain, not in a file and not on our servers.
NotchBuddy uses it to talk to RevenueCat directly. We never see your key, your customers or your sales.
Payments are kept on your Mac for 31 days, with customer emails shortened (like jo•••@gmail.com).
You can remove the connection in NotchBuddy, or revoke the key in RevenueCat, at any time.

Questions, answered.

Can NotchBuddy change anything in my RevenueCat account?

Not if you follow the steps on this page. You create a key that can only read, so NotchBuddy can see payments and totals but can't refund, cancel, edit or create anything.

Does it work if I sell on more than one platform?

Yes. Connect as many as you use. Each connection keeps its own key and schedule, and the Revenue panel shows them together.

Why don't I see each purchase?

RevenueCat's API gives totals, not a feed of individual purchases, so NotchBuddy shows the change between syncs: new revenue, more subscribers, a new trial.
